2. The nurse goes to get vomit medication, but a scream from patients D-4 room stops her in her tracks.
3. Patient D-4 has escaped from the restraints and attacked the occupational therapist.
4. The daughter for patient F-6 complains that her father was not feed and that the food is cold.
5. The Nurse Manager would like to know what had the nurse so occupied that she could not feed her patient, nor treat B-2 for vomiting. The nurse can’t recall the events that transpired because its 2pm and she missed lunch. Here brain has no sugar reserves.
6. The Manager is becoming agitated with the nurse.
7. Nurse realizes that time is moving quickly and she must update her charts. The computers have shut down and her pen is out of ink. There will be no charting this hour. 8. The nurse runs to the rest room because her bladder is doing something very strange. The nurse finishes using the restroom only to realize there is no tissue in the stall.

9. Code blue is called over the intercom. Patient G-7 was found unresponsive. CPR is started but patient G-7 has died. Nurse reflects over the day to insure all proper steps were taken. Oops, nurse forgot that the patient was listed as (DNR) do not resuscitate patient.
10. Coworkers are upset with nurse for adding extra work to their hectic day.
11. Nurse realizes that shift change is drawing near and that she must complete her charting on all eight patients. Nurse has a new pen and begins to chart.
12. Patient A-1 is once again calling for pain medicine. Nurse decides it is best to get pain medicine but before she can take it to her patient she drops it on the floor.
13. Nurse must now find a coworker to witness her waste this narcotic and get another dose. The narcotics count is showing a discrepancy.
14. She must call manager to fix it before she can continue with giving out medication.
15. Laboratory calls nurse to notify her of a critical lab for patient H-8. Doctor must be called and notified of this
16. The nurse remembers that she has more paper work to document than before. She has to document the death of patient G-7 also there is extra paper work for the code blue and the attack that occurred earlier with patient D-4.
17. The school has just called to tell the nurse that her son has been suspended for fighting. It’s almost time for the nurse to get off work. She begins to speed up her pace but while rushing, she accidently sticks herself with an HIV infected needle.
